Reshaping or relocating soft tissue with the help of implants is widely applied in aesthetic surgeries.
Prefabricated implants may provide a reasonably priced solution in some cases, - however, the best
results of individual aesthetic corrections can only be achieved by applying custom-tailored implants.
Besides predicting the patient’s postoperative appearance for the given implant type (see case study),
we can also design completely new, custom-tailored implants. Simulation of custom-tailored implants
with predictable impact on soft tissue implies implies an inverse problem - that is, the implant shape is
computed from the desired result of the aesthetic correction. Our technology for inverse design of
customized implants has been successfully evaluated in the real-life surgery (see case study).
